My Top Movies and TV Shows

This post provides a list of my favourite movies/TV programmes. It is based on the ratings that I have given them on IMDb. Given that IMDb hasn’t been around as long as I have, I suspect that there are many titles that I have forgotten to add – they may get added in due course.

I have not tried to rank them within the two bands (those rated “10” and “9”) – I think it gets to a point where that’s not possible as it depends so much on your mood on the day, so mostly it is an alphabetical list. Also, TV series are particularly difficult to rate/rank as there are always certain episodes which are “better” or “worse” than others.

Of course, none of this is absolute either – the ratings are just according to my tastes and we all have very different views on these things. Also, I’m not suggesting that any of these titles are without their faults – many make their way onto the list purely for the entertainment value or due to nostalgia.

The table shows the IMDb score, the title with a link to the movie/TV programme on IMDb, and then, if there are any, any posts I have done related to that title.
